AGH SCIENCE Meetings

What should replace coal power generation? The answer to this question was given by the EnerGizerS project manager, Anna Sowiżdżał, Professor AGH, during the third event in the AGH SCIENCE Meetings series.

In her speech entitled "Geothermal - renewable energy from within the Earth", Prof. Sowiżdżał highlighted a number of applications of geothermal energy. She also presented technological methods for capturing energy accumulated in rocks and underground waters. An important part of the lecture was a presentation of current research work aimed at analysing the possibility of using the petrogeothermal potential in unconventional geothermal systems, Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EnerGizerS Project).

Recordings of the event will be available online. We encourage you to listen to them.
