Study visit to Poland, Krakow-Zabrze 2024

On March 6-7, 2024, another final meeting of the EnergGizerS project Partners took place, this time in Poland.

As part of the first day of the study visit, the EnerGizerS project team had the pleasure of exploring the secrets of coal mining by visiting the historic Guido Mine in Zabrze, where we were invited by our Partner, Exergon from Gliwice. An important part of the meeting was the presentation of the projects implemented by the company. This time the working meeting of the EnerGizerS project took place in an unusual way, 320 metres below the Earth's surface, surrounded by coal seams.

The second day of the study visit was spent by the EnerGizerS project team at the Centre for Sustainable Development and Energy Conservation of the AGH University  in Miękinia near Krzeszowice. The guests were introduced to the activities of the centre. They also had the opportunity to visit the renewable energy installations operating in the laboratory. The final element of the meeting was a discussion summarising more than three years of cooperation under the project and taking further joint initiatives for climate neutrality.

We also invite you to visit the gallery, where you can find photos from the study visit to Poland.

We thank all Partners for the meeting and substantive discussions. We also extend our sincere thanks to the institutions that hosted the EnerGizerS project team for technical visits.
