Summer School of the Polish-Norwegian CCS Network

On June 17-21, 2024, the AGH Energy Center hosted a CCS Summer School organized within the framework of the Polish-Norwegian CCS Network project - “Acceleration of Climate Change Mitigation Technologies Deployment: Polish-Norwegian CCS Network” acronym ACCLAIMED-CCS. The project consortium includes AGH, the University of Oslo and Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP).

The event brought together speakers and listeners from industry and academia, and the main topics of the CCS Summer School were:

In addition to lectures and workshops, participants visited pilot CCS installations at the facilities of the Institute of Fuel and Energy Technology in Zabrze and Tauron Polska Energia S.A.

Among the participants in the poster session were those involved in the work on the EnerGizerS project. Paweł Gladysz and Magdalena Strojny, who presented the results of research and analysis carried out in the area of CCUS technology including EGS installations. In turn, Maciej Szymanek presented his experience from experimental work at the SINTEF Energy Research unit (Norway, Trondheim) on the properties of the CO2-water mixture within the Work Package 3 of the EnerGizerS project.
